ABOUT ME

Drew Kempin was born in Evansville, Indiana, and raised in West Lafayette, Indiana. Since a very young age, Drew has performed in theatre shows and sung in choirs, both in schools and community organizations. From playing Ebenezer Scrooge to an Ewok, he always loved bringing characters to life. 

Drew continued singing in the choir throughout High School. He was in both musicals and a play during his Junior and Senior years. 

Drew was a member of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club for several semesters during college, traveling with them to perform shows nationally. After college, he performed with the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus and was in the ensemble for Leonard Bernstein’s Mass with Guest Soloist Jubilant Sykes.

Drew joined the Indianapolis Men’s Chorus in 2017 and became a staple of small ensemble pieces and performing in their Indy Fringe shows. During his time in the IMC, Drew was fortunate to be selected to sing in backup choirs for Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and Disney in Concert: The Sound of Magic.

In 2023, Drew started seriously considering acting as a future career and began auditioning and performing in the Indianapolis community theatre scene. He was in The Sound of Music and Elf The Musical at the Booth Tarkington Civic Theater and landed his first-ever lead role as Beast in Disney’s Beauty and The Beast at Footlite Musicals in 2024. He continued performing with Footlite in Kinky Boots and Heathers.

In the summer of 2025, Drew left his Graphic Design career and began working as a professional actor in the Indianapolis area. He performed in Summer Stock Stage Eclipse's Be More Chill at Butler University and in ATI’s Young Frankenstein in Carmel, Indiana.

Drew took a massive step outside his stomping grounds to play Shrek in Shrek The Musical at the MGM Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi, this summer. He also signed with Heyman Talent Agency to represent him in IN, KY, and OH.

When not performing, Drew is a cat and dog dad to Honey, Sully, Leo, and Maisie. He also performs live streaming on TikTok, where he sings requests from viewers. Additionally, he is learning woodworking and doing diy projects around the house.
